Record in-house use of materials (F6)

Jump to: navigation, search

Libraries often count useage of materials used by patrons inside the library but not checked out. This is a way to keep statistics of material usage to aid in ordering additional items as well as to weed the collection if items are not used.

There are a few ways to get to the in-house use screen. You can:

  • Press the F6 key on the keyboard
  • Click on the Circulation menu and select Record In-House Use
  • Click on the Check Out button drop-down menu and select Record In-House Use

The Record In-House Use screen displays with the heading shaded in dark purple.

To record in-house use, scan in the barcode of the item in the green box and the statistic is recorded.

You can change the # of uses by entering in a different number in the corresponding box and then scanning in the item to record to the number of uses.
