We only have time for a quick look at this readers’ advisory database.

Point out the wide variety of information available in this database by pointing out what is in each column.

Point out the boxes across the top to limit to age level. Check the boxes for OLDER KIDS and YOUNGER KIDS, then do a search for friends.

Point out the tabs across the top with various interest areas, scroll down to show them the screen of results, click on one title to show them a detailed record -- most of them will have a review at the bottom.

Click on the HOME button. Scroll down and specifically point out the great resources available for working with kids.

If you have a few minutes, let them play with the database. You'll probably lose control of them!
