Downloading chapters directly to storage card on Pocket PC
From Mlc
As far as transferring directly to the storage card is concerned, the capability is supported by the OverDrive Media Console’s transfer wizard, provided that the Pocket PC is running a minimum of Windows Media Player 9. Please ask your patron to take the following steps to try transferring titles to their Pocket PC’s storage card: 1. Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot in the portable device. 2. Connect your Pocket PC to your desktop. 3. Open OverDrive Media Console, select the desired title, and use the transfer wizard to begin the transfer process. 4. At the screen where you are prompted to select the parts you wish to transfer, there should be a drop-down list above the list of available files. If the OMC is able to detect your storage card, the card should be listed there.
If the storage card is not listed in the drop-down menu, please try the following.
1. Instead of clicking Transfer in the Console, click Burn. This will open Windows Media Player and add all of the book Parts to the Now Playing list. 2. Go to the Sync tab (assuming you have WMP 10 or 11). Depending on your version, you should be able to select the storage card in the drop-down list on the right, or in the menu on the left.
As the OverDrive Media Console works as a front end for Windows Media Player, if the storage card is seen in one, it should be seen in both. If it is not, please ask your patron to try installing or reinstalling the latest version of ActiveSync. This may help to allow Windows Media Player to detect the storage cards for their Pocket PC.
