Content expiration
From MCLS Wiki
I understand that once I "check-out" a book, it is accessible on my computer for 21 days, then it is "returned" to the library. What happens after 21 days if I have burned a CD or moved it to my mp3 player? Do those files also become unaccessible? "
Titles will only expire on certain portable devices. For example, many of the newer PDA's come equipped with Windows Media Player Mobile 10. Windows Media Player Mobile 10 has the ability to read license files and titles will expire similarly as they would on a computer. However, most mp3 players do not have the ability to determine when a file will expire, so there is nothing technical that will prevent the title from playing after expiring. The same goes for CD-R discs.
