Sample Policies

Circulation policies usually include provisions for loan periods, fines (if any) or other penalties for overdues, renewals, holds, and library card eligibility.

Sample language:

There is no limit on the number of items you may check out.

Books which are not overdue and not on hold for another patron can be renewed by phone or online.

Most materials may be renewed three times. Some materials including new books, information videos, and CD-ROM software may be renewed once. Entertainment videos, video games and items on hold for another patron may not be renewed.
