Analysis and Testing
•In 2002 we began testing every bit of cable and every connection across our network. We found problems, although not as many as we expected.
•We repaired what we could and replaced non-conforming or non-category 5 Ethernet cable with Category 5-E
cable
•We tested & monitored network traffic for WAN
upgrades
•All hubs were replaced with 100MB Ethernet switches
•All routers were upgraded from 2505/2507’s to
2621/2651’s
•Implemented Cisco Pix firewalls
