Nominations sought for MLC board

The MLC Nominating & Leadership Development Committee seeks nominations from the membership for the following openings on the MLC Board of Directors:

  • Public Library Representative
  • At-large Representative (2 open seats)

About MLC Board of Directors
These are 3-year terms, beginning January 2008 and concluding December 2010. The board meets 6 times a year, on the third Friday of January, March, May, July, September, and November. The November meeting includes a two-day strategy retreat to review activity of the previous year, assess trends, and determine strategic changes to MLC's services.

To assist you in nominating candidates, read these sections (PDF) from the board's policy manual for an overview of the board’s work and responsibilities of board members. Under MLC’s bylaws (PDF), only designated Member Representatives or alternates from MLC member institutions may be nominated.
