MeL Delivery Labels
Directions on how to create MeL Delivery labels
Please note: the Internet Explorer browser works best to create labels.
- Click here to link to the label maker.
- Log in with your library code - it will include the 3 digit delivery zone code, followed by your 5 digit MeL Agency Code. In the case of libraries with central delivery hubs or branches, a sub-library code will follow the MeL Agency Code. Please use all caps when entering your Login Code.
- Password: delivery
- The label maker site is searchable by either library name, or the 5 digit MeL Agency Code. Library names will appear with the MeL Agency Code listed first, followed by the library name, and then – if applicable – the branch name. You do not have to include the 3 digit delivery zone code when searching.
--When creating a delivery label, there will be two matching points to consider – the library name, and the MeL Agency Code. Library staff should verify both matching points when printing labels. --On the label maker site, to the right of "Select TO Address" is a Search Box. You may search there by either the library name or the MeL Agency Code. If there is more than one library with the search data you entered, you will see a drop down list to choose the correct library. --If you are sending MeLCat requests, please use the "Pickup At" location indicated on the MeLCat paging slip located in the lower left-hand corner of the slip for the delivery label. --When the book bands and paging slips are missing, try searching the MeL Delivery Participating Libraries list. You may search the list by clicking on Control -> F [or go to Edit --> Find]. A search box will allow you to search by name, city, MeL Agency Code, etc.
- Select either 8.5" x 11" Regular Paper or Avery 6464 Labels
- Click “Make Labels”
- If you use sticky labels, please do not place them directly on items belonging to another library, put the items in an envelope or wrap it in bubble wrap.
- If you are sending multiple items to a single destination, choose the library name from the list, then click on “Make Dedicated.” That tells the ProMed drivers (and sorters) that all the items in that bag are going to a single institution and they do not need to sort it.
- If you need a new label for the window on the bag(s) leaving your library, clear the “Selected Address List” by double-clicking any libraries listed there, then click on “Make Bag Label.”
- If you search for a library, then want to see the entire list of libraries again, execute another search with the search box blank; or click on All Libraries.
- Please note for libraries with central delivery hubs or branches the label will print the central delivery address.
- Please ignore the 40000 zipcode -- ProMed does not need zip codes for delivery.
If you have any problems creating labels, please contact Sue Alt (by email) or at 800-530-9019, ext. 143.
